"Despite my will, I am unable to get the time for the championships and it doesn't seem possible for me to attend the events on a scheduled basis, so finally I am taking the retirement.
Still, I will try to join in casual races whenever possible and will carry on with my posts"
His Interview will be published soon.
Monza : Post Race Interviews
SRF1 : Back to winning way after a long drought. How do you feel?
Lakshay: Yeah it is good to be back after a long drought as you mentioned. The last Championship race win for me was.......... omg i dont know!! Its something where I should be more regular at. I always have the pace. Just that i never concentrated enough during the races. I made too many mistakes in races before. But only 1 or 2 in this race. That too minor ones. So maybe I got the monkey off me back and now I will race even better.
SRF1 : When you saw Saif spinning at Ascari's Exit, Did you thought about winning the race, considering his blistering pace in opening laps?
Lakshay: I knew before I could win the race. I had the pace. I too had done 30.xxx before in practice and I knew I could match him if I try hard, and yes one cant keep up that pace for more that 1-2 laps. Race pace is different. We all are bound to Spin atleast once in the wets in the race. I had my spin but i managed it with minimum damage. So I was waiting for it. It was matter of when, not if. I didnt tried anything fancy in 1st and 2nd lap. Just was stuck behind in saifs spray. Jinesh was not able to keep pace with us. So I took it easy. Then I had 2 off moments of half spin. That gave saif a decent lead. I then decided not to try anything risky and just keep simple race.
SRF1 : How were the conditions overall?
Lakshay: They were fine. We all were used to it in practice so it was not that treacherous. It was bad when you got in someones spray and could not see a thing and FPS go down. Otherwise they were fine, just need to control the wheelspin on exiting the corners. I used manual shifts for whole of this race. That was better I think. Though gave me few sore fingers. But that was worth it.
SRF1 : Saif! A bad race by your standards, A lot of error! Was it due to rain?
Saif: I didn't drive well, thats it.
SRF1 : What was going in your mind when you were following lakshay after your spin in Ascari? What was your strategy?
Saif: I think I had a heavier fuel load than him, had filled up quite heavy yesterday, so thought of doing something during pit stops, but didnt work out well, I got stop/go.
SRF1 : Back to Lakshay, Next up is 2X hotlaps at France. What are your hopes?
Lakshay: France is a track where I think I am OK. Pace will be there as usual. Its just matter of composure in the 1 lap hotlap. Will go for win as usual, But with a stronger claim this time. 4 Points behind are not that easy to catchup these days as it seems. Because of the new Points System. But still its not unbeatable by far. This is turning out to be a very very exciting championship.
Lakshay Wins First Ever Wet Race Despite Penalty

Lakshay Dabas kept his cool to win the first ever wet race at Monza. He got a drive-thru penalty for white-line infringment. His consistency rewarded him with race win. He out-mastered the fastest driver and pole sitter, Saif Sultan.
Earlier Saif recorded fastest lap in qualification to take pole position.
Jinesh's race was nearly a nightmare when he got disconnected from timing system due to lag. He race was full of mistakes and he was clearly struggling in practice session for girp.
Meanwhile Basit continued his dismal run at SimRacingF1 League. He eventually got disconnected.
On the other hand pole sitter had a night mare race as he spun from lead in the most important phase of race leading to pitstops. He recoevered well from his first spin and was right behind lakshay but he out braked himself at lesmos. he was later overtaken by Lakshay who did an early stop. But Saif got a stop and go penalty for speeding in the pits.
Jinesh overtook him in the penalty stop. Lakshay's drive-thru penalty couldn't stop him from winning the race and his consistency rewards him with race win. Lakshay clocked the fastest lap of the race.
